King Kong indeed

'Ellow. It's been a while, hasn't it? Yes, it has. It's 2.31AM again, perfect time to start writing!

So, what happened in the meantime? I'd like to tell you, if only my memory would allow it. I tend to forget things real quickly if I don't find them important and most of my life I don't find very important, at least not important to write about. I guess the highlight of the past week was a discussion with Indy about my previous post here. You know, the one where I said some crazy, weird shite about him. I explained that the post was written in a moment of personal inner rage, and that everything is like forgive-and-forget now that my anger has been written down. There seemed to be a few misunderstandings between the two of us, but we managed to solve the problems. We are two incredibly smart motherfuckers after all.

The second highlight, which actually took place before the discussion with Indy, was the fact that I've seen Peter Jackson's King Kong in the cinema. The movie made a huge impression on me with its stunning special effects (Kong looks amazing) and a lot of suspenseful action sequences. But as Squall on PlayStage pointed out: there simply are too much action sequences, making the 3-hour movie just a bit too long for a normal audience. I had no problems with it, since I like heavy action scenes (Kong vs. five V-rexes was quite cool, as was the scene with all the giant bugish creatures). I hope to see Chronicles of Narnia: Lion, Witch & Wardrobe this week (if it is released this week that is, have to check on the website of the cinema) and I'm planning to see Kong a second time too. On Monday, they're showing the original movie from 1933 on BBC, I have to remember to watch that one too (although I don't like old black-and-white movies at all).

Today I went to the Book Festival in Ghent, bought a lot of novels there for a total price of only 28 Euros. Some of the new books are the complete works of Shakespeare, the Odyssey by Homer and a lot of Wordsworth Classics such as Moby-Dick or David Copperfield. I also bought the Bored of the Rings parody, I'm curious about how good it actually is, the book sold quite well after all.

Think I'm getting in too bed now. If I stay up, I keep rubbing in my hair and everytime I do that, something like six hairs fall out everytime. So good night to you, before I get bald and before you get Bored of the Incredibly Pointless Giely Things (how's that for a novel title, eh?).
