Hello again to everybody reading this blog, so let's just say: hello myself! Hi, how are you? You know, the usual stuff, so how about you? I'm doing great myself, thanks. Writing to myself becomes dull after two sentences, so I'll just start writing to the nothingness that is the white page beyond these words.
BM and I have just published our Xbox 360 special at PlayStage.be, he did all the lay-out and wicked effects and I wrote all the articles (except for the specs, which I stole from another site with their permission, so it was the friendly type of stealing). We are very proud of what we've done, pity those damn pop-up blockers prevent some visitors from actually seeing the special at all.
Tomorrow (it's 2.20 AM now, so tomorrow is Friday) the 360 finally arrives in Europe. I hope there will be enough 360's available for those who didn't preorder them, because some of my fellow crewmembers at PlayStage only decided to buy one about two weeks ago and they haven't stopped talking about whether or not they will have one on Friday. I hope they can find one, since I'm curious about how the games look on normal televisions. HD seems to be the big leap forward in gaming, but I know for sure that it will take some more years and some more money before any of those televisions gets into my house.
I want to know how 360-games look on a normal television. Who knows, I may even get convinced to buy one myself? Nah, who am I kidding. I have way too much games to play on my GameCube and Nintendo DS too care for the next generation of gaming anytime soon. I just hope I can find a well-paid job this summer to pay my Revolution at the end of 2006, that next-gen will be the next platform to join my growing Nintendo collection. A collection that I think is not nearly as complete as it should be. Which is why I will be buying some I-still-had-to-play-that-game-before-I-die games on Nintendo DS and GameCube.
Think I'm getting into bed now. I wish good luck to all of those gamers who will be out in the freezing cold on Friday morning to get their hands on one of those tempting Xbox 360's. I hope those people, and the other ones who were smart enough to preorder the 360 soon enough, will have a great time experiencing the next generation of gaming in their own living room. Have fun and good luck to some of you!
